In 2016, Santa Clarita was voted one of the best places to live in Southern California. From its award winning schools, the incredible location, and its undeniable beauty, we absolutely agree. A while ago we stumbled across a local photographer who we have followed, nay, slightly obsessed over the unique and incredible shots he captures of the place we call home. From incredible aerial shots via drone, to breathtaking landscape images his talent, and eye for beauty has truly left us speechless. We recently interviewed Jason Salter to get to know him and his work a little better. Meet Jason Salter:
How long have you been practicing your art?
3 Years.
The description of your work on your website states “Photographer and Traveler thru this place called life..capturing humans and expressions, Love & disparity & Gods beautiful creation”. You have very diverse work from landscape to portraits. Do you have a preferred subject?
I like people. There faces and expressions mostly street photography.
What is your favorite place to capture in Santa Clarita? If any, and why?
Hidden places that are more natural and less inhibited since we are on the outskirts of the real city. I love the old oak trees in SCV and the sunlight.
Do you offer your services to local families and businesses?
Yes, my style of photography is not limited to landscape and inner-city people. I enjoy anything that tells a story.
