What Does Owner/Seller Will Carry Mean?

We get a lot of questions about Real Estate in Santa Clarita. This week we’re answering your question what does “owner/seller will carry” mean?

“Owner carry,” “seller will carry,” “owner will carry note” – these all mean that the seller will offer to finance. In essence, the seller will act as the lender. These loans are usually short term. While this is not very common, it does occur. Before considering having the seller of the property act as the lender, be sure to talk to your real estate agent and lender to see what programs are available that may make traditional financing a better option.
