Relying On Santa Clarita Open Houses To Find A Home?

I speak with a lot of home buyers every week. I connect with all sorts of wonderful people in this business. Some feel different about how they approach their home search. Are you relying on Santa Clarita Open Houses to find the right home?

Finding a home, it’s serious business. I mean, you care about your home, right? It’s a big deal. It’s a lot of money. The gravity of your end decision will effect much of your life; not just financially. Have you considered your quality of life? If you’re new to an area, such as Santa Clarita, guiding your home purchase via open house events is especially dangerous.

Dangerous How?

Simply put, you should be working with a community expert. Especially if you’re relocating from a different area of Southern California, or beyond. I, for instance, have lived in the Santa Clarita Valley for nearly 4 decades. I know the area. Based on a series of questions I ask you, based on your responses, and based on your budget… I’m going to have a great idea about all the various areas and neighborhoods of the Santa Clarita Valley that match much of your preferences. That’s expertise you’re going without when you’re turning left, turning right, or doing an “Oh Shit” U-Turn” chasing the open house signs.

So You Walk Into An Open House

Do you succumb to sales pressure? Is the agent there even a local expert? Will you make an impulse buy that could be detrimental to the next 5-10 years of your life? Hmmm? Things to consider. Danger? Maybe not, like I previously suggested. But something serious to consider. I’m a proponent of my seller clients utilizing an open house to market their home for sale. I’m a proponent of my home buyer clients driving around and looking at open houses when extra time permits. NOTICE THOUGH: They are my clients being guided by my local expert advice, and odds are they already analyzed the details of the home that’s being held open prior to arriving at it because of my daily buyer opportunity notifications to them.

Are You Avoiding The Santa Clarita Real Estate Agents And Relying On Open Houses To Find The “Right” Home For You? Beware Mr. Mrs or Ms. Buyer…. beware. The majority of homes listed for sale never have an open house held at all. Get with a local Santa Clarita expert who happens to sell houses for a living. I’m one of those people, BTW.
