Spring Cleaning Tips

In just a few short weeks Spring will be here. If you are considering placing your home on market, here are a few spring cleaning tips, to help welcome in the season properly, and give your home the best first impression to potential buyers:

  1. Clear Clutter: After the holidays we tend to have a lot more “stuff” than we need. Clean up unused and unwanted items by selling or donating them. We like to say less is more. The less stuff lying around, the more buyers will see what features your home has to offer.
  2. Wash Windows: Windows and screens are a major first impression point. Wash windows and make them sparkle. The more natural light you can feature the better. Also, be sure to replace any torn or broken window screens.
  3. Create A Welcoming Environment: Now is the time to replace any worn or dirty welcome mats. Also, be sure to add a nice potted plant, or tasteful decor to your front door, like a spring wreath or potted plant.
  4. Landscaping: With record-setting rain over the fall and winter season, our lawns and gardens are springing life. Pull weeds, clear any dead foliage, add some fresh flowers and brighten up your yards.

With just a few minor improvements you can clear any unwanted clutter, and really make your home shine.
