Tech: Ring Video Doorbell

Some of you may know we are techies around here. Recently we installed a Ring Doorbell which has become increasingly popular in the last year. For those of you who aren’t aware of what Ring is, let us recap.

Ring Video Doorbell works on every home, work or without a doorbell. It allows you to see, hear, and speak to whoever may be at your door. You can get quick instant alerts straight to your phone when visitors press your doorbell, or the motion sensors are detected. It has clear 720-HD video, and the free app can be accessed from a smartphone, tablet, or PC.

Why we like it. We found it was incredibly easy to install. Along with that, the app was very user-friendly. Working out of the home, traveling, or having kids, we feel this piece of equipment is worth the piece of mind it provides. In some cases, we feel it helps with overall neighborhood safety and deters unwanted visitors. For the basic model, via the Ring website costs about $199. There is a pro version for a little more money, but we are happy with the basic model.  It can come in a variety of colors to fit your home’s decor as well. Overall, we really like this product and would highly recommend the investment.
