Winter 2013 – Is It Time To Buy A Santa Clarita Investment Property?

Property To Invest In: Santa Clarita
Time To Buy Your Santa Clarita Investment Property And Rent It Out?

There’s already been a pretty large price run-up in the real estate market in the first half of the year, but is Winter 2013 the right time to buy a Santa Clarita Investment Property?

Current Trends:

– Inventory is still very low, only 567 as of time of this blog post. This causes upward pressure on prices.

– Buyers are lagging, and many on the fence about buying right now due to preference to wait until after the holidays. This causes downward pressure on prices.

– Some sellers really HAVE to sell right now, for whatever their reasons. This causes downward pressure on prices.

– Interest rates are still low and affordable for most home buyers. This causes upward pressure on prices.

As I see it, while there is somewhat of a lull in home buyer activity right now, the inventory is simply to low. If it remains somewhat the same through January and most of February… as soon as the buyers return in Feb March April in much greater numbers, prices will continue to rise at a great rate simply due to the supply/demand. There is a significant buying opportunity to strike a great deal with home  sellers that HAVE to sell right now.

Short sales. REO’s. Sellers who are relocating. Sellers who have to sell due to a growing family size. Etc…. these are examples of sellers that you can strike a great deal with, in this Santa Clarita real estate market.

It’s Winter 2013… are you ready to buy an investment property? Opportunity is knocking. Buy a home, fix it up, and have a renter in there by the first week of January 2014. It’s possible. ASK Robert!
