Sure, look at homes on the weekend. Most home buyers will look at homes on the weekend. They’ll make their offers on the weekend. Those offers will typically get reviewed on Monday or Tuesday…
Where you might find the most success is taking inventory of what’s actually available without offers as of Monday or Tuesday. Without offers being the key here. Working with a great Santa Clarita real estate agent? If so, they should be able to help you identify properties that match your criteria, that have no offers in on them.
The Best Day To View Homes In Santa Clarita
The most optimal day to view homes for sale in Santa Clarita and submit an offer… would be Tuesday!
Here’s why!
On Tuesday… the dust should have settled on most listing from the weekend frenzy. The homes that are still available should be somewhat clear. Your agent should be able to make some calls, and determine which homes are available with NO offers in on them.
You should identify the best ones of the lot after viewing them. Then, make your offer on Tuesday or Wednesday after viewing them. The goal being, to wrap up a home, get it under contract before the following weekend.
Why Follow This Method?
The first reason that you should follow this method and advice, is to put yourself in a position, in this sellers’ market, to avoid a multiple counter offer. A multiple counter offer is when more than one buyer has made an offer on a home, and you’re being asked to revise your original offer (typically offer more $) in some sort of way. What you want is to be the only offer. When you’re the only offer, you possess more negotiating power. You want more negotiating power… don’t you?

I’ve found a similar experience in my years as a Realtor. the weekend is always very crazy, as is Monday. Wednesday and Thursday are days that things start to pick back up a bit, so Tuesday is, in my experience, the best day, as people underestimate the power being the only offer can bring them!
