Strike A Santa Clarita Home Deal While The Weather Is Bad

Santa Clarita Home Search in Bad Weather
Don’t feel like looking at homes in bad weather? Too Hot? Too Cold? Too Wet? Consider the benefits!

Perhaps this post is just anecdotal, but it always seems to be that my clients strike the best Santa Clarita home deals in the worst of weather conditions. It’s been raining cats, dogs and buyers over the last several days. Our Santa Clarita Valley definitely needed it; the rain part at least.

Looking For A Santa Clarita Home Deal?

What better way to strike a deal on a Santa Clarita home, or pounce all over a new listing that to do so with the least amount of competition. While I have to admit that the last few days have been busy, despite this downfall of rain, it’s not typical. Bad weather always curbs the appetite of Santa Clarita home buyers looking for homes. For some reason, hot hot heat, and or cold, windy, and rainy weather usually stops most in their pursuit for a home purchase – at least for a few days.

Some of my buyers best deals are struck during adverse weather. Most people, us Realtors included on the average I suppose, basically get lazy when it comes to facing the elements.

Having Difficulty Getting Your Offer Accepted?

Consider your timing when writing your offer for a Santa Clarita home. Consider the weather outside… seriously! Is it hot and just don’t feel like trucking out to look at 5 homes in the 100+ degree weather? DO IT! Is it cold as (Iceland?)… Ā grab that jacket, gloves, and whatever else is necessary, don’t forget the willing and able Realtor… and DO IT!

The seller you’re submitting an offer to may have a lack of offers due to the above reasons, and as such, you may find yourself the only offer in, and potentially in a position to negotiate! Finding the right home for you can take time. Typically more time than any weather pattern. The above is just a nugget of advice based on my experience… do what others aren’t willing to do, and you may simply find a rewarding result. And what better reward than getting your offer accepted on a home, for less than the asking price?
