Don’t get hung up on your purchase of a Santa Clarita home because you can’t obtain fire hazard insurance. It would be a good practice to first know whether the home is considered to be in a fire hazard zone either through the resources of your local real estate agent or with the help of your preferred insurance agent.

If you knew that either A) you couldn’t get fire insurance for the home you’re attempting to purchase or B) it would be unaffordable due to the risk of fires in the area, then you may want to save yourself the grief of opening the purchase escrow in the first place.
