Compare that to St Louis, MO which was ranked last at 303rd, and had a cost of crime per capita of $9,334. Higher crime areas often times have depressed home values, and pay higher prices for crucial needs including home, renters and auto insurance.
Only three other CA cities ranked higher than Santa Clarita on this list of 303 US cities – Thousand Oaks, Irvine and Simi Valley.
