Need To Be Freeway Close When Buying A Home In Santa Clarita?

Saugus CA Real Estate
Buy A Saugus Home?

I was showing a home tonight in the Saugus area of Santa Clarita to a home buyer client of mine. He had originally been considering the Valencia area, when I had suggested thinking about the Saugus area.

He was wondering why the home, which has over 3,000 sq ft of living space, was such a great value. For the price, $675,000, it really was an immense value when comparing to a home priced similarly in Valencia. There are quite a few reasons why people choose Valencia over Saugus… but typically it’s not because of the house itself. If it’s just about the home… in Saugus you’ll find much more value, typically in the lot size, as well as price per sq ft.

It’s not as freeway close as Valencia is, so, if you’re commuting to work, Valencia homes and real estate might be a better option if you have a long drive in the morning, but… if you’re not a road warrior day in and day out… Saugus may be worth a closer look in your Santa Clarita home search if you haven’t considered it already.

House vs Location

That’s what you have to ask yourself. Is the house itself paramount in your priority list, or is it the location? I work with so many Santa Clarita home buyers… most want it all…at first…but then they tend to whittle down on either side of the fence with no consistency.
